Position Summary:
The School of Social Work at Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Lecturer. This position is for the 2021-2022 academic year and is a two year initial appointment subject to subsequent multi-year reappointments without limit. Applications received by December 22, 2020 will receive fullest consideration.

The candidate would be expected to teach 12 credits per semester across the curriculum in both BSW and MSW courses, assist the School in meeting all aspects of Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) reaccreditation guidelines, conduct ongoing research and writing, advise students, and collaborate on School issues and committees.

The School of Social Work has maintained an accredited BSW Program since 1975 and an accredited MSW program since 1998 with concentrations in International and Community Development and Clinical Practice with Families and Children. Required Degree, License or Certifications:
Master's degree

Required Skills or Software:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Required Years of Experience: 5

Other Requirements:
Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

Five years of college/university teaching experience.

Eligible for New Jersey licensure at the licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) level.

Excellent communicator. Collegial work style and a commitment to advocate for the interests of the School and the profession.

Competence and interest in teaching clinical practice in the area of children and families, mental health and/or substance abuse, practice evaluation and field. A demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion and social justice and human rights.


Preferred Qualifications:
Completed DSW or Ph.D.

Four years of social work practice experience.
