Job Description:
The Photographer/Videographer works within the Office of Communications at York College of Pennsylvania, reporting directly to the Director of Creative Services. This individual plays a significant role in the marketing efforts of the College by working with a team of storytellers to identify stories and provide quality photography/videography that enhances them and engages target audiences. The Photographer/Videographer's work is used to strengthen the College's social media and web presence, and to help create dynamic print pieces. Essential functions of this position include:

The candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 2-4 years' experience in the field of photography and videography. Experience with Drone photography preferred. Experience in a higher education environment preferred. Other requirements for this position include:

- Capturing images and videos representing the full range of activities occurring on campus.
- Providing quality photographic and video services to the campus community, news media, and other organizations with an interest in activities of the College and its faculty, staff and students.
- Overseeing the completion of video and photography projects from pre-production planning to distribution, including completing quality editing work for both video and photography, preparing assets appropriately for use.
- Assisting internal and external clients with photographic needs for use in books, magazines, brochures, newsletters, web, and other publications.
- Maintaining an accurate, searchable, archive of quality photos and videos representing all aspects of life on campus.
Requirements:
The candidate should possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with at least 2-4 years' experience in the field of photography and videography. Experience with Drone photography preferred. Experience in a higher education environment preferred. Other requirements for this position include:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (mainly Premiere, Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Proficiency in digital imaging and video-editing software
- Familiarity with producing media for digital properties
- Creative, flexible, and people-oriented
- Able to meet deadlines, execute multiple projects concurrently and work independently, as well as with team members
- Occasional requests to be available after hours and/or weekends to cover special events or activities outside of the normal workday.
- Perform other duties as necessary or as assigned by the Director of Creative Services.
