Communications and Public Outreach Coordinator, Bringing Theory to Practice

Elon University is currently accepting applications for a Communications and Public Outreach Coordinator, Bringing Theory to Practice (.75 FTE).  Bringing Theory to Practice is a national initiative, hosted at Elon University, that works to advance the core purposes of undergraduate education through innovation, advocacy, and research.  We believe that all students deserve an equitable, inclusive education that fosters active learning, public engagement, and personal thriving and that these values require significant change in higher education. Our mission requires effective public communications to academic and national audiences, in print, digital, and media formats. The Communications and Public Outreach Coordinator will oversee BT2P’s communications, including a triannual digital newsletter, a biweekly informal letter, and social media, as well as helping to expand its web, digital, and media outreach. Working with the Director and staff colleagues, the Communications and Public Outreach Coordinator will help to amplify BT2P’s voice in the national conversation about the future of higher education. Bachelor’s degree required with excellent skills and significant experience in writing, editing, and newsletter publication in print and online platforms. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in website content management (Wordpress), email newsletter management (Mailchimp), and project management.  Familiarity with graphic design and video is also desirable. Application review will begin January 1 and will continue until the position is filled. Apply at https://elon.peopleadmin.com/postings/7417.
