West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine are recruting two general neurologists to provide inpatient and outpatient care for Wheeling Hospital, with an academic appointment of Assistant Prfes, Associate or Professor.

Wheeling Hospital has served the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia, Eastern Ohio and parts of Pennsylvania longer than any other hospital in the state. The hospital has 247 beds, and the medical staff totals 230 primary care and specialty physicians.  In addition to the hospital, the complex includes the Continuous Care Center, the Wheeling Renal Care and the Howard Long Wellness Center. Connected to the hospital are four medical office buildings where 80 physicians have their private offices.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a Neurology residency program and must be board certified / eligible in Neurology. Candidates who are not board certified / board eligible who possess extraordinary ability and demonstrated track record may be considered at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team comprising neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, geriatrics, nursing, and social work. They will participate in a growing clinical program and teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
