Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

The Project Manager will provide support for the Muscular Dystrophy Translational Research Program. They will be responsible for implementing project management processes, methodologies, and reporting to assist with ongoing research projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for organizing work, setting priorities, making assignments, enforcing deadlines, and making decisions based on analytical and innovative thinking within established guidelines.

Minimum Hiring Standards

Experience with clinical research, academic medicine, and health sciences.
Extensive project team participation and project management experience.
The ideal candidate will also possess a composite set of skills including strong communication skills, strong organization skills, experience with office systems, demonstrated administrative and interpersonal management skills, and strong proofreading skills with acute attention to detail. Successful applicants will have strong initiative with good judgment, the ability to interpret policy, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters. Experience with software programs and databases, including MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and databases. This position requires a high degree of flexibility, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact. Ability to work in a diverse environment is required.

Preferred Hiring Standards

Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a university or healthcare environment. Certification – clinical research management certification or project management certification is preferred.
