The College of Nursing is a National League for Nursing Center of Excellence and is home to the Indiana Center for Evidence Based Nursing Practice, a Joanna Briggs Institute Affiliate Center.

The College offers undergraduate degrees including a traditional BSN, second degree accelerated BSN, and an online RN-BSN. We offer several MSN options including two advanced practice roles (family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist) and two online options (nurse educator and nurse executive).  Our post-master’s DNP program has a focus in translation science.

The College of Nursing seeks applicants for the position of associate professor with tenure for an academic year appointment starting August 16, 2021.

Tenured faculty responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate nursing in classroom and online environments, conducting scholarly work in a field of expertise, grant writing, and participating in university, professional and community service. Rank and tenure will be commensurate with background and experience.

The position requires an earned research doctorate in nursing or a related field (master’s degree in nursing required if doctoral degree is in another field) or a clinical doctorate in nursing.

Proficiency in English, written and spoken, is required.

Expertise/Certification in one of the following areas is desirable:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Adult-Health nursing
  • Nursing Informatics
  • Simulation
