Job Description

Management of overall functions in the Department of Biological Sciences.
Direct supervision of staff; mentor, coach, and support new employees, staff, and students.
Development and implementation of policy and best-practices processes and procedures.
Development, oversight and management of the class schedules of Biological Sciences.
Oversee $1 million in courses fee balances and supervises fee expenditures to ensure compliance with policy.
Manage class fee requests and student wage budgets.
Provide support for the Graduate Teaching Assistant Committee though course scheduling and budgeting.
Serve as fund manager and departmental approver for financial documents.
Supervise front office functions to ensure that office is open for assistance of faculty and students.
Oversee new hire process and coordinate job searches within the department.
Other duties that support the department as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor degree and 3 years managerial experience.
Master degree and 1 year managerial experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Enterprise Reporting and PeopleSoft.
Experience creating and managing Excel spreadsheets.
