Assistant Professor in Finance

The Area of Finance invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position starting Fall 2021. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in finance or related discipline before the start date of this position. Applicants must demonstrate the capacity for high-quality and interesting research and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Service to the department, college, and university are expected. The Area of Finance provides doctoral, masters, and undergraduate programs and a successful candidate will be expected to contribute to all programs. Summer support and reduced teaching load is guaranteed during the first three years and is competitively determined thereafter. Candidates who have very strong records of scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven capacity or clear potential to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are encouraged to apply. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student populations and experience working with diverse student populations and first-generation students is highly desirable. The Area of Finance is one of six academic units in the AACSB accredited Rawls College of Business.
