Reporting to the Associate Director for the Campus Experience, the Admissions Event Coordinator (Professional Services Specialist IV) assists the Associate Director in delivering roughly 250 annual admissions recruitment events in-person and virtually, from concept through completion. This individual also provides partial supervision of a Graduate Assistant and Kean’s Student Ambassadors, a team of approximately 40 undergraduate student workers. These students serve as the institution’s foremost brand representatives during admissions events, including Open Houses, Student for a Day and campus tours. Most importantly, the employee will be able to coordinate the daily details that create memorable experiences, while balancing the big-picture objectives that help Kean University meet its institutional goals. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

This is not a remote position and requires physical presence on campus as determined by the Supervisor. It requires working on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic and interacting directly with students following all procedures and protocols set forth in the University’s Restart Plan and any procedures/protocols created through additional correspondence. The employee must have the ability to wear a face covering for the duration of the work day during the COVID pandemic or as determined by university protocol.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; one year of professional experience working in an event-oriented capacity; a driver’s license valid in NJ; and transportation for recruitment travel are required. Two to four years of event-related experience is preferred. Experience hosting virtual events is a plus. Candidate must have excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills, and be capable of communicating effectively with a diverse audience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and dedicated to providing students and their families with a positive guest experience.

Application: Please send cover letter, resume and contact information for three professional references to: Ms. Megan Winnicker, Search Committee Chairperson, by email to emjobs@kean.edu. Candidacy review begins immediately and continues until appointment is made. Official transcripts for all degrees and three current letters of recommendation are required prior to the starting date of employment.
