Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of English position in the Department of English to begin August 2021.
Kennesaw State University invites applications for multiple lecturer positions in English to teach General Education (first-year composition and sophomore literature) with expected start date of August 2021. The current teaching load is 5/4 with university service obligation.
Excellence in teaching and engagement is expected of all faculty members in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU. Faculty in the Department teach in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online.
A Master of Arts in English or a closely related field, or its foreign equivalent, is required as well as a record of effective university teaching.
Ideal candidates will have an academic grounding in composition and rhetoric pedagogy and demonstrated skill in teaching college composition and literature. Candidates with experience teaching at KSU are encouraged to apply.
A commitment to excellence in teaching and service to the institution are expected of all faculty members in KSU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Experience in teaching and/or certification in hybrid or online formats and pedagogies is recommended.
An earned doctoral degree in English or a closely related field is preferred.
