This position provides academic leadership to the Social Sciences Department and serves as an integral member of the College and Campus administrative team.  Facilitates learning, quality teaching, scholarship, and services.  Provides support and advice in the collective bargaining process, and ensures adherence to relevant areas of any collective bargaining agreement. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, History , or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution and five (5) years relevant work experience in higher education and /or teaching; or Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in Social Science, Psychology, History, or related discipline and five (5) years relevant work experience in higher education and /or teaching
• All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
