Position Summary:

Provides professional nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to ensure physical and mental well-being. Is responsible for COVID testing of students.

Associate's Degree

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Knowledge of infection control and disease transmission principles
Knowledgeable in needs of pediatric and adolescent population
Competent in the use of a computer
Able to tolerate wearing PPE for several hours

License or Certificate:

Active Wisconsin RN License

Please note: Salary posted is the minimum. Experience will be considered.

Successful candidates will complete a mandatory virtual Human Resources orientation in late November or December, with dates to be provided to selected candidates. Mandatory position training will be scheduled in January and will be a mix of virtual and onsite training. In general, training will be scheduled between the hours 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. There is not a guaranteed schedule. Scheduled hours each week will be variable based on operational needs. During peak times, all staff will be expected to work a minimum of 40 hours each week. After initial training, hours may be scheduled between the hours of 6am and 8pm, and every other weekend.

Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.

UHS is part of Student Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, led by the vice chancellor for student affairs.
