Job Summary
Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of equipment and furnishings for all departments. Tracks and maintains inventory for all departments. Initiates and tracks equipment. Must have reliable transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Counts equipment and furnishings in stock and posts totals to inventory records
• Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as purchase invoices to obtain current inventory
• Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
• Tags new purchases with inventory tags or etches on furniture or equipment and records inventory room and building numbers
• Audits computer lists and make corrections as needed
• Deletes “lost” from inventory lists and make further checks on misplaced items
Processes paperwork for transfer records and make appropriate changes as needed
• Assists in organization of surplus property sales
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma ( GED )
• Three (3) years of experience working with computerized systems
• Familiarity with office and use of standard office equipment
• Experience operating a forklift and/or powered pallet jack
• Experience processing purchasing vouchers
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• Strong/advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with online database systems
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, self‐directing and goal oriented
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities
• Mathematics skills (e.g., multiplication, division, percentages)
