The Executive Director of Admissions and Scholarship provides comprehensive leadership and direction to a talented team that operationalizes strategic enrollment planning, engagement and recruiting, admissions decisions, enrollment and scholarship awards for the MBA (Master of Business Administration) and AMBA (Accelerated Master of Business Administration) programs at Johnson. The successful candidate will bring a creative spirit to the design, development, and success of an integrated, innovative, student-centered, strategic enrollment process.

 

The next ED will bring an inventive and data-informed approach to assessing market conditions and creating strategic marketing and recruiting plans; presenting and marketing the programs and the school to prospective students internationally and domestically; managing the staff and operations of the department; processing/assessment of 2,000 applications; distributing $12 million annually in scholarship and fellowship funds; and representing Johnson within the College, the University and in the national and international graduate business school community.

 

Utilizing demographic information, historic enrollment trends, prospective data, and market research, the ED will develop and implement data-driven strategies and annual and long-term plans for meeting admissions, diversity, and financial aid objectives. The Executive Director will lead a team of 11 full-time staff, several seasonal contract staff, and student workers.

 

The Executive Director of Admissions and Scholarship will have a master's degree and 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in a data-driven, high-performance admissions, career management, sales, or other related field. Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns; strong supervisory and mentoring skills; qualitative and critical thinking skills; strong collaboration skills; commitment to diversity; knowledge of MBA culture and career fields; ability to sustain ethical workplace practices and confidentiality; and the ability to travel are essential.

 

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, orally and in writing, and will be willing and able to instigate change thoughtfully, creatively, ethically, and energetically. The ED will be a credible and influential leader, mentor, and developer of staff, with a demonstrated commitment to an inclusive workplace and to supporting the staff’s work-life balance, empowerment, and professional growth. The ED will be a compelling voice for Johnson, able to nurture a knowledgeable and versatile team characterized by a deep customer-service orientation, strong morale, and the highest standards of ethics and integrity.
