The responsibilities of the position include teaching core undergraduate and graduate level course in rehabilitation and human services, including clinical supervision of graduate level counselor trainees, student advising, conducting research and participating in other scholarly activities, and serving on departmental, college and university committees; participation in Council of Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) accreditation activities, and other faculty responsibilities as assigned. Summer teaching may be available.

In addition, the successful candidate is expected to support and engage in the University’s commitment to outcomes assessment and continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Doctoral or ABD degree in counselor education and supervision, from a CACREP accredited program.
• Expertise in the fields of addiction and/or mental health counseling
• Experience in college/ university teaching graduate and undergraduate courses and clinical education
• Commitment to developing and teaching online courses
• Experience in advising students, especially at the graduate level
• Evidence of potential for scholarly productivity
• Ability to work collaboratively with other faculty, professional staff, and persons from diverse backgrounds
• A commitment to scientist-practitioner philosophy with experience in implementation of CACREP accreditation standards
• Eligibility for Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Montana Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)

• Interest in addictions counseling and willingness to pursue Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) licensing in Montana.
