Eastern Michigan University, a public, comprehensive metropolitan university offering programs in the arts, sciences and professions, is currently searching for faculty for the 2020-21 academic year. Founded in 1849, the University enrolls over 17,000 students who are served by over 2,000 faculty and staff, both on-campus, off-campus and electronically. Our students represent 46 states and 40 foreign countries. The student to faculty ratio is 16:1.

The University has enhanced its learning environment through structural initiatives during the past several years. Recent construction includes:  Renovation of Sill Hall, home of the College of Engineering & Technology ($40 million), renovation to our on-campus recreation center ($16 million), and a new health center - the $14 million project is a collaboration between the University, St. Joseph Mercy System and IHA.

Eastern Michigan University is located in historic Ypsilanti, 10 miles east of Ann Arbor, 20 minutes from Detroit Metropolitan Airport, and 45 minutes north of Toledo, OH. It is located in a culturally and environmentally diverse area, rich in academic, research, technological and recreational resources.
