The Department of Biology and Geology at Baldwin Wallace University announces a tenure- track faculty position to begin August 2021. The Department seeks an individual with experience in teaching, mentoring, and research with a diverse undergraduate student body. An M.D. or comparable professional degree, or Ph.D. in biology or related discipline is required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in human anatomy. Successful candidates will teach Gross Anatomy and introductory level classes in Anatomy & Physiology, and specialized courses in their area of expertise such as Comparative Anatomy. Proficiency in human cadaver dissection is required. The Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the George and Fran Boyer Human Anatomy Laboratories including maintaining established protocols for the handling of human cadavers. Candidates are expected to develop and conduct laboratory experiences with undergraduates, participate in curriculum development and assessment, participate in professional development activities, university and departmental service as well as faculty governance.

 

Founded in 1845, Baldwin Wallace University is an independent, coeducational comprehensive institution in the liberal arts tradition and is located 15 miles southwest of downtown Cleveland and just minutes from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. Baldwin Wallace enrolls approximately 3,000 full-time undergraduate day students, 250 part-time students in evening and weekend programs, and 900 graduate students.
