Teach seminars in Chinese music and Chinese musical instruments
to music majors. Teach music theory and aural skills. Design,
implement and teach a curriculum that includes music theory and
aural skills, specifically tailored to performers.
Collaborate with other Conservatory faculty to coach student
ensembles for regular performances of the Chinese Music Ensemble.
Provide musical, administrative and advisory support to the US
China Music Institute events and programs, including planning and
oversight of performances by Institute students and professional
ensembles; and advising US China Music Institute students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in music
- Advanced knowledge of Chinese music and its history.
- Knowledge of Chinese musical instruments
