THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Economics is housed in the College of Business and Economics at California State University, East Bay.  It has 9 full-time faculty, about 80 undergraduate majors, and 25 Master’s students.  The Department serves teaching needs in the Economics degree programs (BS, MS), and in the business administration programs (BSBA, MBA).

DUTIES OF THE POSITION:  Applications are invited for a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level.  Candidates in any field will be considered.  Successful candidates will teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate (Masters level) courses to both economics and business administration majors, and will maintain an active research agenda.  Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay include courses at the Hayward, Concord, and Online campuses.  In addition to teaching, all faculty have advising responsibilities, will assist the department with administrative and/or committee work, and are expected to assume campus-wide committee responsibilities. 

RANK AND SALARY:  Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience.  Subject to budgetary authorization.

DATE OF APPOINTMENT:  Fall Semester, 2021

Qualifications
