Director of Financial Aid

Northfield Mount Hermon seeks a dynamic and motivated individual to oversee the operation of the financial aid office within the parameters set by the Dean of Enrollment, Head of School, or Board of Trustees. This position manages the recruitment process for an assigned region and is responsible for a caseload of prospective student applications.

The successful applicant will have a bachelor’s degree; at least 4 or more years of financial aid or income tax related experience and 3 or more years of sales and/or marketing experience.; outstanding organizational, written, communication, and interpersonal skills preferred.  The ability to travel is required. Candidates must demonstrate professional presentation, including honesty and integrity. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and other web-based software is desired.  Additional qualifications include the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently.  Ability to work flexible hours and be on call during interim periods, some night and evening work.

Candidates are expected to have an understanding of equity and inclusion work to support a diverse community in a boarding school environment. They should also have a demonstrated interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents.
