The Brumbaugh lab is part of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Colorado-Boulder. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

This position would include both research and administrative opportunities. The ideal candidate would be highly organized and possess strong interpersonal skills. Lab experience, particularly in the areas of molecular biology, developmental biology, and animal husbandry (mouse work) is preferred.

Administrative Duties
  • Coordinate lab repositories of plasmids and cell lines.
  • Organize biosafety certification and animal husbandry protocols.
  • Introduce incoming lab members to common laboratory practices and safety guidelines.
  • Lead all aspects of ordering research items.
  • Connect with vendor representatives regarding orders.


Wet Lab Duties
  • Maintain common lab reagents, equipment, and consumables.
  • Organize, breed, and genotype mouse colonies.
  • Unpack and distribute orders upon arrival.
  • Design and execute experiments in support of ongoing projects in the lab.


What We Can Offer

$35,000 - $50,000 commensurate with experience.

What We Require

  • B.S., B.A., or equivalent degree in molecular biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, or a related field.


What You Will Need

  • A proven understanding of basic software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • A strong interest in developmental and molecular biology.
