Job Summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Human Resources, The Director of Employee Engagement ( DEE ) is responsible for leading district-wide efforts that maintain and enhance ongoing employee engagement activities within the College. The DEE is collaboratively responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that improve and increase employee engagement, recognition, and wellness. The Director of Employee Engagement will be responsible for leading all district-wide employee activities including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, wellness, appreciation, and recognition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to quality employee engagment, employee morale, and wellness programming for all employees by creating a supportive environment that provides access to on-going and well-coordinated activities with the goal of maintaining the highest quality of services for faculty and staff
• Serves as a lead resource on matters of employee recognition efforts such as the Chancellor’s Excellence Awards, annual wellness events, including annual immunization clinics, and collaborates with administrative leaders to develop employee appreciation activities
• Reviews and evaluates employee engagment practices, procedures, and protocols relating to annual employee climate or other engagement surveys, and organizational processes that affect quality; makes recommendations on refinements and other upgrades as appropriate
• Works with management, staff, and faculty involved in the college’s planning and evaluation processes
• Develops and maintains advisory/consultative relationships with people in subject-matter expert areas that provide input to or consultion related to departmental engagement issues
• Continuously evaluates applicable activities and resources within the college
• Demonstrates a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and of staff and students with physical and learning disabilities
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through the Tarrant County College ( TCC ) Institute
• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
• Supports the mission, vision, and the 3 goals and 8 principals of the College

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
• Five (5) years of professional level experience in employee onboarding, engagement, wellness, or related field
• Three (3) years of directly-related supervisor experience
Desired Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures
• HR certification
• Ten (10) years of professional level experience in employee onboarding, engagement, wellness, or related field
• Five (5) years of directly-related experience onboarding diverse employee groups in a college setting
Knowledge, Skills and Ability
• Demonstrated knowledge through direct experience of learning concepts, training and development methods and techniques
• Ability to perform and interpret needs analyses, and translate the findings into actionable next steps
• Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation and presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions
• Ability to work with management to align learning/leadership development with succession planning initiatives
• Ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives
• Demonstrate a strong customer orientation
• Ability to interact with diverse groups and individuals at all organizational levels
