Job Summary/Basic Function

Online Adjunct Professor position with the School of Education. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to teaching material from approved curriculum in accordance with assigned schedule, providing detailed feedback, mentoring/challenging students to grow intellectually and spiritually, maintaining contact with students to advise on matters related to academic achievement, attendance, and behavior, and maintaining/reporting grades and attendance in accordance with university policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
Graduate or Doctorate Instruction
- PhD, EdD, EdS, MA, Med, MAT, MS or similar terminal degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in:
• Reading/ Literacy Specialist
• Special Education
• Early Childhood Education
• Curriculum and Instruction
• Math/ Math Education
• Science/ Science Education
• Gifted Education
• Social Studies Education
• Education Technology
- Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience in the K-12 school setting
- Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University
- Current state teaching license

Undergraduate Instruction
- A master’s degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education in:
• Reading/ Literacy Specialist
• Special Education
• Early Childhood Education
• Curriculum and Instruction
• Math/ Math Education
• Science/ Science Education
• Gifted Education
• Social Studies Education
• Education Technology
- Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience in the K-12 school setting
- Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University
- Current state teaching license

OR
- A master’s degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the
U.S. Department of Education, with a minimum of 18 credit hours in one of the disciplines noted above.
- Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience in the K-12 school setting
- Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University
- Current state teaching license

Preferred Qualifications

- PhD, EdD, EdS, MA, Med, MAT, MS or similar terminal degree and experience lending to subject matter expertise in:
• Reading/ Literacy Specialist
• Special Education
• Early Childhood Education
• Curriculum and Instruction
• Math/ Math Education
• Science/ Science Education
• Gifted Education
• Social Studies Education
• Education Technology
- Minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience in the K-12 school setting
- Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University
- Current state issued teaching license.
- Demonstrated strengths in teaching at the college level.
- Strong organizational skills that facilitate assignment/task anticipation and completion.
- Superior interpersonal, customer service, and presentation skills required.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite and online Learning Management Systems.

Work Hours

Estimated 5-10 hours per week per course.
