Job Description

Description:

The UAS Project Manager, under general supervision of the Associate Director for UAS, directs project management activities supporting contracted clients and UAS operations. Leads interactions with stakeholders in the planning and delivery of projects. Coordinates project plans including implementing operational requirements and constraints, developing, and tracking budgets, tracking schedules and deliverables, coordinating ranges, and providing periodic status reports for projects that are generally large in scope.

Responsibilities:
  • Define project mission and vision, establish strategic alignment, and identify stakeholders.
  • Direct project management activities supporting client requirements and UAS operations in accordance with project management standards.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead project meetings with stakeholders to coordinate project activities.
  • Coordinate project plans including budget, timelines, resources, goals, and deliverables for approval by Lone Star leadership.
  • Plan and coordinate project resources. Ensure project quality control and assurance.
  • Direct and supervise project support staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Level II
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five (5) years of related experience in planning and coordinating complex operations.
  • Additional education may be used as a substitution for the minimum experience requirement:
    • Masters degree and three (3) years of related experience in planning and coordinating complex operations.


Level III
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Seven (7) years of related experience in planning and coordinating complex operations.
  • Additional education may be used as a substitution for the minimum experience requirement:
    • Masters degree and five (5) years of related experience in planning and coordinating complex operations.


Other Skills and Abilities
  • Intermediate skills in the use of MS Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work effectively with internal and external executive-level clients.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience planning and coordinating medium to large scale projects ($100K to multi-million-dollar projects).
  • Expert use of MS Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of project management software tools and applications such as Gannt charts, checklists, stakeholder management tools, budget trackers, and risk management tools.
  • Project Management Professional license or ability to complete PMP certification within 18 months of hire.


Salary:
  • $5,084.34 - $6,666.67 Monthly ($61,012 - $80,000 annual)
