SHU's Innovation Campus

SHU's Jack Welch College of Business & Technology (WCBT) is AACSB accredited, and enrolls over 2,000 students. It is housed on SHU's West Campus, approximately one mile from the main campus. Opened in Fall 2019, in the former world headquarters of General Electric, the west campus is focused on digital innovation and how it is transforming business in the 21st century. With the launch of a TechStars start-up accelerator in 2020, the innovation campus is destined to become a regional hub for entrepreneurship and experiential learning. The campus includes state-of-the art labs, equipment, and studios to support research on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data analytics, financial computation, machine learning, augmented reality/virtual reality, and e-game design. The state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities include an AI lab with separate instructional and research equipment (opened in 2019), a cybersecurity lab (opened in 2017, renewed in 2019), an 11,000 sq ft IDEA lab including an expansive Makerspace for rapid prototyping, engineering, and manufacturing (opened in 2019), and several game design and development facilities supporting applied research. It also includes a 28-bed hotel, a beautiful ballroom and bars for hosting events, and several commercial-scale kitchens. SHU's Great River golf course, a 20-min drive away, is also a resource for hospitality and event management students.

The WCBT offers undergraduate degrees in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Sports Management, Fashion Marketing & Merchandising, Marketing, and Hospitality, Resort & Tourism Management. The WCBT's School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE) offers undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology, Game Design and Development, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
