The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the coordination of the HPV mixed-method study that will examine vaccine hesitancy among parents and providers in rural Virginia counties. The research assistant (RA) will assist in recruitment, enrollment, developing digital and hard-copy materials, including advertising materials and informed consents. The RA will work with the Community Research Assistants and other partners on community engagement, data collection, and coordination of dissemination events. They will assist the research team in the literature review, data entry, cleaning and preliminary analysis and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
• Ability to complete and comply with CITI online Research Ethics and Compliance Training
• Strong communication skills with the research team and community participants
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience participating on research teams that conduct primary data collection, mixed methods research, and or community-engaged research
• Experience managing a REDCap database
• Knowledge of and passion for health and health care disparities.
