b Description:

• Act as strategic partner with V.P. for Finance and other executive leadership
o Annual personnel budgets: salaries, fringe benefits, and scales
o Applicable policy and procedures assessment, development, and execution regarding Human Resource functions
o Ensure Human Resource strategic plans align with mission and vision objectives of the college
• Supervise and lead all Department of Human Resource functions.
o Operations: Payroll, Benefits, Time, Leave, Compensation, and Workday
o Organizational Development: Talent Acquisition, Talent evaluations, and professional development
• Act as Dept. of Human Resource compliance and legal authority
o Hiring policies adhering to applicable local, state, and federal guidelines
o Direct the input of employment contracts for full time staff
o Administer classification and compensation systems to ensure equity
o Prepare and update job descriptions
o Investigate, recommend and prepare policies impacting personnel and consult with administration on interpretation of personnel policies.
o Taking lead role in the preparation of documentation for formal disciplinary
or grievance matters
o Provide leadership and guidance on issues related to equality and diversity
o Employment requirements to applicable local, state, and federal guidelines
o Payroll / Compensation requirements to applicable local, state, and federal guidelines
o Title IX – Employees
o EEOC – Institutional
• Act as Department of Human Resource reporting authority
o Payroll, Personnel, Compensation, Deductions, and all other applicable
• Oversee the institution’s ERP Platform (Workday) regarding personnel data
o Evaluate applicable / logistical work flow processes
o Evaluate applicable / logistical approval processes

 

 

Applicable Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five to seven years’ experience in senior human resource administration. In-depth knowledge of HR compliance laws, functions, and software.   Applicable Master’s degree, SHRM, SPHR, and/or HRIP certifications, and higher education administration experience preferred.
