Anderson University and the College of Arts and Sciences invite applications for a full-time, nine-month professorship in for a full-time, nine-month faculty member as assistant professor of Mathematics, beginning in August 2020. A Ph.D. in Statistics or Mathematics is required. Screening will begin immediately and continue until the job is filled. Applicants who are currently pursuing a terminal degree with ABD status will be considered. Experience teaching at the undergraduate level is preferred. Faculty status will be determined at the time of appointment based on experience and record of research.

We invite candidates whose scholarship and experience include an ability to teach upper-level Statistics courses, such as Concepts of Statistics, Probability for Data Science, Concepts in Computing with Data, Stochastic Processes, Design and Analysis of Experiments, Modern Statistical Prediction and Machine learning, Statistical Theory, Statistics and Data Analysis, and Game Theory. A record of collaborative, interdisciplinary research, undergraduate advising experience, and working effectively with a diverse student body is desirable.
