Assistant or Associate Professor of Health Care Management, Management
Job Description or Duties:
Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses primarily in the areas of Health Care Management, Health Care Policy, and other related courses such as Human Resource Management. Conduct scholarly research in areas related to Health Care and Management. Contribute to the Department of Management and the College of Business and Technology through service activities. Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses primarily in the areas of Health Care Management, Health Care Policy, and other related courses such as Human Resource Management. Conduct scholarly research in areas related to Health Care and Management. Network with Regional Hospitals, Health Care Clinics, and Long-Term Care Facilities to recruit potential students and establish internship opportunities. Model professional relationships with students through classroom instruction as well as academic and career advising. Contribute to the growth of the Management Department and the College of Business and Technology through service activities. Be a teacher-scholar through engagement in professional development activities.
Ph.D. in Health Care Management, Health Care Administration, Public Health, or related field. ABD acceptable with completion by August 2022. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Combination of academic preparation and industry experience relevant to the teaching requirements for this position. Previous university teaching experience including developing syllabi, creating learning activities that stimulate student engagement and critical thinking, and developing appropriate evaluative methods. Evidence of scholarly productivity. Experience teaching using a variety of methods and media including face-to-face and web-based instruction.
