The department of Consulting Services Support will provide operational support and services to enable faculty, staff and students to effectively use technology. This department is responsible for the following services: Provide user support and technical services for initial incident reporting and resolution including problem tracking and escalation to other support units. Manage the operation of the Technology Assistance Center and ResNet (student residential network) Manage on-site Dell Warranty Service Center Manage support for special events Manage Computer Operations including deployment of hardware and software images Supports office and classroom technologies through consultants Manage support for Classroom Technology Assistance Plan. Provides technical training for campus.

Brief Summary of Work for this Position

This Information Technology Training Coordinator will be responsible for service offerings at the Tech Nest, the ITS Training and Technology Outreach Center. This position will be responsible for evaluating current campus technology requirements and maintaining an innovative environment, including the evaluation of technology hardware in the center. The IT Training Coordinator will evaluate campus wide needs for software training. This position will develop and conduct training sessions for software. This position is responsible for developing presentation materials and conducting training sessions for software such as, Microsoft Office products including intermediate to advanced Excel, Outlook, Word, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, etc. This position will be responsible for the Tech Nest program scheduling. This position will be responsible for supervising one full time trainer, as well as responsible with hiring and scheduling student employees.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the position. Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience developing IT training programs

Experience conducting in-person IT training

Experience developing materials for online IT training

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office including Office 365, Outlook (client working with exchange server) and SharePoint

Experience working with multiple platforms and have the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service and organizational skills and willing to learn new technologies

Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in Windows and/or Mac operating systems; web browsers; web-page applications, and multi-media hardware and software applications

Comprehensive technical knowledge concerning supported products (hardware and software) and networked computing environments

Experience researching and evaluating innovative hardware and software technology solutions for clients

Preferred education, professional skills and experience

Experience developing online materials and training workshops

At least two years experience working in Information Technology related field

Supervisory experience

Experience working in Higher Education
