VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to work with the Creative Video Content Manager during the 2021-22 academic year. The desired candidate will have an interest and desire to learn about the world of video production and content creation for all of VCU athletics media platforms.

Responsibilities include:
• Camera operation, graphic design, video editing, lighting, set design, social media content creation;
• Assist in gameday operations by producing features, highlights, interviews, and info graphics that promote VCU athletics; and
• Hosting office hours during which they will assist in shooting interviews, editing features and highlight packages, and maintaining equipment.

Required Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS :

Required:
• Admittance into a VCU graduate program;
• Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant at VCU ;
• Understanding of popular social media platforms;
• Must be creative, proactive and have a love for sports; and
• Competence working with Adobe Photoshop and/or video editing platforms, such as Final Cut or Premier Pro.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred:
• Knowledge of and prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics;
• Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work nights and weekends.
