Community Action Network Manager - (STA006715)

Manages the development and implementation of community education and outreach programs and initiatives that support a college, program or center. Assists in the expansion of consumer/provider participation for the UH Healthy Start Community Action Network (C.A.N).Job Duties

  1. Ensures data driven decision making for health related strategies related to the Healthy Start program.
  2. May write and administer grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and other operations.
  3. Facilitates and oversees all activities, specific to the Perinatal Periods of Risk (PPOR) Analysis process.
  4. Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.
  5. Encourages participation in the Healthy Start maternal and child health activities by conducting and coordinating community health-related activities targeted at communities experiencing disparities in prenatal health.
  6. Connects with clientele through the facilitation of meetings with community stakeholders to include but not limited to public health officials and doctors.
  7. Develops presentations and presents information to internal/external program partners and stakeholders.
  8. Implements large scale data driven needs assessment analysis, writings and presentations.
  9. Responsible for social marketing to stakeholders to ensure capacity and public impact on the education generated by the Healthy Start community action network.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications :


Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Additional Job Posting Information:

Preferred: Master's degree in Public Health or Community Health.Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience. Experience investigating discrimination cases preferred.

It is a person who will take charge of leading the public impact aim of the Healthy Start grant. They need to facilitate meetings with community stakeholders like public health officials, doctors etc as well as be able to connect with our clientele.
