Postdoctoral Scholar Employee Position, Environmental Economic Research
Department: School of Global Policy and Strategy, Center on Global Transformation (CGT)

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Appointment: 12 months (extendable based on mutual agreement and available funding)

Start Date: July 1, 2021

The Center on Global Transformation (CGT) at the University of California San Diego is to a central hub for applied research and policy dialogue focused on the opportunities and challenges arising from global economic and technological change. The Center is pleased to invite applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Research Associate position in applied economics for the academic year 2021-22 with the possibility of a one-year reappointment. In addition to carrying out their own research, the appointees will work on CGT projects under the supervision of Professor Joshua Graff Zivin at the University of California San Diego.
The Postdoctoral Scholar Employee will reside at the UC San Diego campus and will be expected to participate actively in the intellectual life of the University. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following fields: environment and energy, health, labor, or the economics of innovation. The candidate must have earned their PhD in economics (or public policy) within 3 years of the start of the position, or plan to have successfully defended their PhD dissertation by July 1, 2021. A competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and excellent benefits will be offered.
