The University of Cincinnati (UC), College of Engineering and Applied Science seeks to hire multiple full-time educator-track faculty positions in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). Rank, salary and startup funding commensurate with credentials.

Duties include teaching graduate and/or undergraduate courses related to the candidate’s area of expertise within the following areas:

Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering, and Engineering Technology disciplines.

In Computer Science, this may include: cloud computing, software engineering, computer networks, databases, data structures, engineering data structures, introduction to computer systems, object oriented programming, and/or introduction to programming;

In Computer Engineering, this may include: embedded systems, computer networks, software and systems engineering, and/or computer architecture;

In Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology, this may include: network analysis, signals and systems, controls, electronics, RF circuits, digital design, instrumentation, electric power, and/or communications. The successful candidates will be expected to teach courses online and/or in a traditional classroom setting and participate in service related activities, such as departmental and/or college committee membership; and advising graduate and undergraduate students. In addition, the successful candidates may participate in curriculum and course development, including distance learning classes and e-learning experiences. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior to effective date of the appointment, one of the following is required:

  • Computer Science discipline: An MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Computer Engineering discipline: An MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology disciplines: An MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field

The Department of EECS offers ABET accredited undergraduate programs in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering and Computer Science. The department also has graduate programs that confer Master of Science, Master of Engineering, and Doctor of Philosophy degrees.
