Job Summary:
This position is for a nine-month, Tenure-track Assistant-level appointment with the primary responsibilities of teaching, research, and service. Quality teaching, research/scholarly activity and service responsibilities are required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate
courses in business strategy, and entrepreneurship. Teaching both
face to face and online is required and experience in both formats
is preferred. Other teaching related responsibilities include
academic advising, student recruiting and retention, and
course/curriculum development.
Research responsibilities include presentations at professional
meetings and publication in peer-reviewed
journals. Seeking and securing outside funding of
research is strongly encouraged. A track record of
research leading to publication is required for tenure and
promotion.
The successful candidate is expected to communicate and
interact with the business community. The individual is expected to
demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with
students, peers, and administrators and be willing to serve on
departmental, college, and university committees.
Minimum Qualifications include the following:
A Ph.D. or D.B.A degree in Management or a closely related field
preferred. An ABD is acceptable. Must meet the College’s AACSB
standard for Scholarly Academic.
The ideal candidate's qualifications will include:
- Excellent teaching skills and the ability to function collegially as a member of the faculty in the College of Business and Social Sciences.

- Effective written and oral communication skills
- The ability and desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment
