The University of Houston Downtown invites applications for the position of Director of the Masters of Nonprofit Management Program and Associate/Full Professor of Nonprofit Management.  The University of Houston-Downtown’s Master’s in Nonprofit Management is a vibrant interdisciplinary graduate program and the 5th ranked online Master’s in Nonprofit Management program in the country. In addition to Ph.D. tenure-track and full-time faculty, the MNPM includes adjunct faculty made up of CEOs from some of the finest nonprofit organizations in the country.  Roughly 70% of the students in the program are women, two-thirds are African American and Latino, and most are First-Generation to College and work full-time.

The program resides in the Department of Social Sciences, which includes Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Health and Behavioral Sciences and is within the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.  

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph. D.  from an accredited institution in an appropriate academic field. Candidates will be able to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online undergraduate and graduate courses in nonprofit and related fields. Candidates will have experience in administration, including program coordination and assessment, and will be able to engage in academic advisement and recruitment. Candidates will also demonstrate a sustained record, equivalent to the rank of Associate or Full Professor, of excellent teaching; service; and academic peer-reviewed publications in nonprofit management or related fields.  

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates will have experience in developing on-going relationships with nonprofit and public agencies.
