Department of Psychological Sciences Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Social Psychology

Principal Duties: Purdue University’s Department of Psychological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Social Psychology to begin in the Fall of 2021. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a program of nationally recognized research and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. Qualifications: The candidate must have a Ph.D. in social psychology or a related field by the position start date, a strong publication record, a strong program of research with a high likelihood of obtaining external funding, and potential for teaching and mentoring excellence. We are particularly interested in research emphases in social cognition, broadly construed and including social neuroscience.

The Program, College, and University: The Purdue Social Psychology program has strengths in many areas including (1) prejudice reduction and social justice, (2) exclusion, belonging, and group processes, (3) close relationships, and (4) personality and the self, as well as a commitment to methodological rigor and best practice. The program attracts top graduate students from around the world. The Department of Psychological Sciences is an integral part of the College of Health and Human Sciences.
