Job Description:

The temporary (December 2020-April 2021) Transfer Outreach Coordinator shall be responsible for the communication plan to transfer applicants. This includes outreach for missing credentials, transfer credit evaluations, and organization of documents.

DETAILED STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in the evaluation of transfer applicants in accurate and timely fashion and reviews academic credentials. Responsible for follow-up and advising of students through admission process.
  • Utilizes student records system/CRM to maintain application data including data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Works closely with Registrar and other appropriate offices to generate and ensure that Transfer credit Analyses (TCA's) are completed and provided to students in a timely fashion.
  • Assists in updating DHE databases including MassTransfer by reviewing current databases and performing data entry
  • Edits/maintains website content and electronic marketing and communication for transfer students including promotional brochures relative to transfer admission.
  • Performs other duties relative to supporting and developing programs to increase new student enrollment at MCLA including back-up on freshmen file review and other admission support as needed.


SUPPORTIVE DUTIES:

  • Assists other staff members with phone/office coverage when needed.
  • Serves as tour guide to prospective students, as needed.
  • Assist with campus community programs and events.
  • Opportunities to be involved with committee work.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Previous admissions or college counseling experience preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, public speaking experience.
  • Quantitative skills and the ability to analyze data for purposes of admissions recruitment.
  • Ability to work effectively with others to meet institutional enrollment goals.
  • Ability to creatively and accurately articulate the goals of a liberal arts college.



Additional Information:

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited position, paying $15.00/hour. This position will be limited to 15 hours/week.
