Xavier University seeks two full-time non-tenure-track Teaching Professors of English beginning Fall 2021. The Teaching Professor position is renewable on a yearly basis, with the potential after six years for promotion to Senior Teaching Professor with a rolling two-year renewable contract. Successful candidates will teach Composition, Rhetoric, Literature and the Moral Imagination, First-Year Seminar, and other core-level writing and literature courses. An established record of teaching excellence in writing and literature is expected. A Master’s degree and three or more years of previous teaching experience are required. The teaching load is 4-4. There are no research expectations for these positions, but some support is available for professional development opportunities. Teaching Professors are also expected to be active in service to the department, college, university, and/or community.
