Position Summary:

The Clinical Research Program Manager works under the direction of the OCT Director as a member of the OCT Management team. The Clinical Research Program Manager within the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT) coordinates the activities of the Research Specialists conducting clinical research within the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Wisconsin. This includes: management of day-to-day operational activities such as study conduct, protocol feasibility and activation, protocol compliance, coordinator competence and performance oversight. Supervising clinical research coordinators working in a variety of therapeutic areas is the primary component of the position. This position requires a working knowledge of, or willingness to learn, applicable institutional and external policies and procedures, including FDA and GCP.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor degree required. Degree in health-related, biomedical, or social science field preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

A minimum of three (3) years clinical research experience required. Knowledge of the Office of Clinical Trials highly
desirable. Experience in project management, supervisor or staff training is preferred. Familiarity with UW research budget and regulatory policies is highly desirable.

License or Certificate:

Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), or Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) required.

Additional Information:

This position may require some local travel; Transportation and a valid driver's license, or eligibility for Car Fleet usage, is necessary.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment.
