Job Description:

The Department of Biological Sciences at York College of Pennsylvania is seeking an animal physiologist for an assistant professor position to begin August 2021. The appointee will be primarily responsible for teaching introductory courses for majors and non-majors, primarily human anatomy and physiology, as well as introductory molecular biology or general biology. The appointee will also have the opportunity to teach upper level lecture/laboratory courses in their field of interest that complement existing departmental expertise. The ideal candidate will be able to conduct and mentor student based research in animal physiology. As a student-centered institution, York College focuses on teaching, advising, and student-based mentoring of student research.


Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in Biology or related discipline that will augment existing departmental expertise. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Professional development and college/community service is also expected.
