Two-Year Visiting Assistant Professor in Medieval History with a focus on African and/or Indian Ocean History
Bard College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Medieval History, with a focus on Africa and/or the Indian Ocean. The specific time period and topical specialization are open to consideration.

Bard College is a highly selective college of liberal arts and sciences with 2000 students and is located in the Hudson valley, 90 miles north of NYC. Qualifications
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a mix of survey and field-specific thematic courses as well as First-Year Seminar, the college's common course for first-year students. Candidates holding a doctorate will be given preference, but those at the advanced dissertation stage will also be considered.
