Job Summary

Johnson County Community College is searching for a Clinical Nursing Instructor to teach maternal/child nursing in an area hospital.

This adjunct nursing faculty will be responsible for working with students in the clinical setting one day a week. This individual may be asked to be available occasionally for on campus activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing
Minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience within the last five years
Active Kansas RN license
Current maternal-child nursing experience
Ability to work closely with students and collaborate with staff nurses to ensure a quality, hands-on learning experience in the maternal/child nursing area
Ability to supervise students
Excellent oral and written communication skills for weekly evaluations
Ability to multitask; process multiple sources of information quickly

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
Prior teaching experience
1-3 years' relevant teaching experience in nursing education
