Job Summary

The School of Nursing is seeking applicants for an Endpoint Support Analyst. This position provides technical and service-related support on a range of technologies in one or more of the following information technology areas: system administration, operating system support, and implementation or user/client services and desktop application.

The work of the Information Technology Specialist will vary depending on the needs of the organization and the competencies of the individual and will range from providing Tier I support to leading projects to providing high-level technical expertise on highly complex matters. The work of an IT specialist will also range from generalist work to in depth support for a more narrowly defined field. See leveling guidelines for further information and minimum qualifications.

Essential Functions

Provides technical support to the School of Nursing community to resolve moderately complex first- and second-tier desktop software, application, and communication
issues in an efficient and timely manner. escalating problems on behalf of the client, maintaining strong working relationships with IT professionals in other areas.

Requires experience installing and troubleshooting computers, software, mobile devices and peripheral devices.

Thoroughly and accurately documents request history and routes advanced second- and third-tier request to the appropriate technical personnel.

Provides high-quality customer service through courteous and professional communication.

Supports and maintains effective relationships with consistent follow-up and documentation.

Provides moderately complex consultation, support, and instruction for clients.

Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and customer service guidelines.

May assist with hardware and software evaluation of testing as part of the development of new initiatives being undertaken by supported constituent groups.

Assist with the deployment of new applications, resources, and tools.

After hours on-call and travel will be required occasionally.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Experience in classroom and A/V equipment and principles. Includes video conferencing equipment and software (examples Zoom, Panopto, Canvas, Polycom).

Experience in computer maintenance, network security, troubleshooting, programming, windows active directory and support to Macintosh.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Specialist III – High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years of relevant experience. Experience must include at least 1 year at the preceding level or equivalent. Employer may consider advanced degrees in lieu of some experience. Typical salaries for this level are between $42k and $52K.

Specialist IV – Requires a High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience. Experience must include at least 1 year at the preceding level or equivalent. Typical salaries at this level are between $53K and $65K.
