About the Opportunity:
The Technological Project Administrator is a unique position within the College of Computer science that builds bespoke platforms to support the computing needs of specific CS courses. Building and maintaining automated Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) platforms to enable students to create and submit course projects is critical function for teaching software engineering best practices.

Technological Project Administrator will assist faculty in the delivery of multiple upper-level undergraduate systems and networking courses within the Khoury College of Computer Sciences that now routinely have over 300 students per semester. They will develop and maintain the projects that students complete in these courses, will assist students with technical issues they face when completing these projects, and will monitor and supervise the Teaching Assistant (TA) staff within these courses.

Responsibilities:
The position will work with faculty members to design, develop, and implement the projects that students complete in the upper-level systems and networking classes. They will maintain these projects as requirements change over time and deploy the infrastructure for these projects.

They will work with students who are completing these projects to solve technical issues. They will hold "technical office hours" to offer help to students to diagnose such issues.

The position will oversee and supervise the Teaching Assistant (TA) staff assigned to the course. They will work with the TA staff to oversee the project grading.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science or related field. Up to 2 years of experience working with students, specifically as a tutor, grader and/or lab assistant.

Applicants should have deep experience in, but not limited to, the following domains:

  • Java, Python, and Racket

  • Cloud computing platforms, both public and private

  • Basic web skills for course content management

  • Data Science/Data Parsing

  • Platform as a Service/Containers

  • Docker and GitHub
