Nine-month, tenure track

TIMELINE:                             

Screening of applications begins immediately, with preference of applications received before 12/4/2020 

QUALIFICATIONS:                 

  • Doctorate in Economics.
  • Evidence of successful college-level teaching in Economics.
  • Ability to teach multiple courses across all levels of Economics.
  • Experience serving in an endowed chair position regarding banking and monetary economics.
  • Commitment to student-centered learning and working with a diverse student population.
  • Promise of potential for continued scholarly activity.
  • Willingness to support the mission of the College and its liberal arts traditions. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                 

  • Teach seven undergraduate courses across the Fall, Winter, and four-week May term, primarily from the following courses: Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Modeling and Forecasting the Macroeconomy, Intermediate Microeconomics, International Trade & Finance, Financial Markets and Modern Money, Sustainable Economics and Finance, Econometrics, Business Data Analytics, Senior Research Thesis.
  • Willingness to teach interdisciplinary courses.
  • Advise departmental majors and minors.
  • Engage in scholarship and service appropriate to the liberal arts setting
