STARTING DATE:
Fall Term 2021
CONTRACT:
Nine-month, tenure track
TIMELINE:
Screening of applications begins immediately, with preference of applications received before 12/4/2020
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate in Economics.
- Evidence of successful college-level teaching in Economics.
- Ability to teach multiple courses across all levels of Economics.
- Experience serving in an endowed chair position regarding banking and monetary economics.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and working with a diverse student population.
- Promise of potential for continued scholarly activity.
- Willingness to support the mission of the College and its liberal arts traditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach seven undergraduate courses across the Fall, Winter, and four-week May term, primarily from the following courses: Principles of Macroeconomics, Principles of Microeconomics, Modeling and Forecasting the Macroeconomy, Intermediate Microeconomics, International Trade & Finance, Financial Markets and Modern Money, Sustainable Economics and Finance, Econometrics, Business Data Analytics, Senior Research Thesis.
- Willingness to teach interdisciplinary courses.
- Advise departmental majors and minors.
- Engage in scholarship and service appropriate to the liberal arts setting
