The Department of Design, Housing and Merchandising in the College of Education and Human Sciences of Oklahoma State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with expertise in digital/computational design. We seek an individual with a passion for the power of digital means to influence and communicate design and creative endeavors. The successful candidate understands digital/computational design as an integrated and critical set of processes. Knowledge of relevant and emerging design software is essential. Successful candidates will be comfortable engaging the students in both hand graphic techniques as well as digital media during design processes, and will also be expected to work closely with faculty and both undergraduate and graduate students in the Mixed Reality Lab (www.mxrlab.org).

The position will commence in Fall 2021; salary for this nine-month position is competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Oklahoma State University is a Land Grant institution and candidates should be committed to a tripartite mission of teaching, creative and/or scholarly research, and service. Other responsibilities include mentoring students, implementing accreditation standards within their courses, and working to advance the Interior Design program.
