Bard College seeks an AV / Streaming Specialist. This is a full-time, non-exempt, 12 month per year position reporting to the Director of AV Services. Performs all tasks related to the Audio Video department at Bard College. Calendar management and scheduling of workers and events. Works extremely closely with the Director of AV Services. This includes the management of loaner equipment as well as basic set up and strikes of Audio Visual equipment. Must be relaxed and very customer friendly. Also responsible for streaming of events that are mostly live. Zoom and other online VTC platform knowledge is a must. The successful candidate will excel at working in a community that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
Bard College’s main campus is in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y., with 1,900 undergraduate students; the College also includes multiple graduate programs. The 1,000-acre campus sits along the Hudson River and offers the Fisher Performing Arts Center, and Hessel Museum of Art, and is the home of the Bard Prison Initiative, the largest college-degree-granting prison education program in the U.S. The Bard Network also includes several Bard High School Early Colleges across the country as well as international campuses and partnerships. The Bard Network is complex and demonstrates Bard’s priorities well in addition to the College’s emphasis on civic engagement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Management of Audio Visual equipment and delegating where and how it is used.
- Calendar management and basic office skills required.
- Basic set up of projectors and sound systems (some light engineering)
- Basic setup of recording events, both video and audio recording.
- Editing of all forms of audio and video (non linear).
- Basic maintenance and repair (within reason) of audio video equipment.
- Delivery of AV equipment across campus, some light lifting involved.
- Continuing education in the AV field.
- Driver’s license required.
- Growing and learning new tasks as the technology on campus increases and changes.
- 2-4 years experience with audio/video in the past 5 years.
- Mac and PC literate.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Organized and able to maintain an accurate calendar.
- Available for weekends and evenings with advanced notice (such as Commencement, Open House days, etc.).
- Must be able to build relationships with and support a student body, staff and faculty that is broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, gender identity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and work in standard office environment
- Must be able to occasionally lift 20 pounds
