Alfred University Biology is recruiting highly motivated and qualified candidates to teach part time courses in the Biology and Biochemistry majors programs. Applications will be accepted on a continual basis for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 academic years. Under the direction of the division chair, the Adjunct Faculty Member is responsible for providing academic instruction to students for the assigned undergraduate courses.


Minimum qualifications include a MA/MS in biology, biochemistry, or a closely related field, with preference given to those with a Ph.D. and undergraduate teaching experience. When available, the candidate is encouraged to provide evidence of excellence in teaching in the form of course evaluations (where available), a teaching portfolio, or letters of support. For online course offerings, candidates must reside in US states which hold reciprocity agreements with NYS.
