Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Mammalian Germ Cell Development in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Ref.: 502731), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in cell biology, molecular biology, reproductive biology, developmental biology, medicine, or a related discipline. Those who are expecting a Ph.D. degree in 2021 may also be considered. The appointee will conduct studies with cell and molecular biology techniques in the general field of mammalian germ cell development and meiosis cell cycle. Work experience with cell lines, bacterial, or animal models, and related cell and molecular biology techniques are required. Expertise in DNA damage repair controls, genome stability regulations, germ cell development, cell cycle regulations, transcription regulations, epigenetic controls of cell and chromosome behaviors, live cell imaging, or use of animal models would be an advantage. Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility, and the capability of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team. The appointee will work with a team on mammalian germ cell development using genetically modified mouse models and various biochemical, cellular, and molecular methods with an emphasis on meiotic chromosome behaviors and related protein functions.
